Hoffman To Present in Tokyo, Japan

November 7, 2019 — Jerod Hoffman, PE, president and senior principal of Meyer Borgman Johnson (MBJ), will speak about Building Information Modeling (BIM) software and integrated steel design processes at the Pacific Structural Steel Conference (PSSC) 2019 conference on Saturday, November 9 in Tokyo, Japan.

His presentation is titled “BIM to FAB: How Software and Integrated Processes Are Changing Steel Procurement in the USA.” Jerod will be joined by other experts in structural steel research, education, design and construction from around the world at the three-day conference held at the Tokyo Institute of Technology and organized by the Japanese Society of Steel Construction.

Jerod has over 24 years of experience as a structural engineer covering a broad range of structural design systems, materials, and delivery methods. With international expertise and a passion for steel delivery, Jerod has become a valued speaker at national and international conferences. A licensed professional engineer in seven U.S. states and three Canadian provinces, Jerod has led some of MBJ’s largest and most complex steel connection projects including the Minnesota Twins Baseball Stadium, Minneapolis, MN, Atlanta Braves Stadium, Atlanta, GA, Atlanta Falcons Stadium, site of the 2019 Super Bowl in Atlanta, GA, and multiple office buildings including two towers currently under construction in New York City.
