Overview
Located across the street from the historic bell tower, in the heart of Temple University, sits the new 220,000 square feet Charles Library that serves both the University and the public. Meyer Borgman Johnson provided steel connection design services for this state-of-the art, granite-clad steel structure that features vaulted cedar-clad entrances and lobbies, 24/7 computer area, a café, event space, over 40 meeting and study spaces, an automated storage-and-retrieval system that houses up to 2 million volumes, and a green roof.
