Overview

This 300,000 square foot project consists of a hotel addition and event center constructed immediately adjacent to the existing casino and hotel facility. The new 12-story, 330-key hotel is constructed using concrete columns and walls to support a post-tensioned flat-plate floor system. The foundation is conventional spread footings on high-capacity engineered fill. The event center consists of a 20,000 square foot ballroom and full-service kitchen to serve the new and existing casino functions, as well as new administrative office space, a locker room, and employee service areas. A central mechanical plant and large water-storage tank are also included in the addition. The event center addition is framed with structural steel beams and columns. Long-span steel joists in the ballroom provide a large, column-free space.
