Overview

The HQ is a 17-story, post-tensioned concrete apartment building with 306 units, totaling 290,000 gross square feet. The building’s multiple levels, variously clad in brick and glass curtainwall, allow for a spacious amenities roof deck with swimming pool and greenery at the 8th level. Two levels of underground parking covering the entire block serves HQ residents and users of the other buildings on the block, which include Kraus-Anderson’s office headquarters, the Elliot Park Hotel, and Finnegan’s brewery. MBJ was structural engineer of record for the entire development, bounded by 5th Avenue S., Portland Avenue, 8th Street and 9th Street at the confluence of the central business district, Downtown East, and Elliot Park.
