MBJ proudly collaborated with Architect Multistudio and Contractor Layton Construction on the Southeast Justice Center in Mesa, AZ. Among over 300 entries, this project was honored as the Best Recreation and Public Use project at AZ Big Media’s 2024 RED Awards. The $61 million, 116,000-square-foot Southeast Justice Center consolidates four county courts and adult probation services into one newly designed state-of-the-art public facility, serving nearly 100,000 visitors annually. The structure features a dynamic façade with custom engineered brick patterns, a soaring 28′ tall atrium entrance, and a monumental steel framed floating stair.
