The Missing Middle
Energy-efficient. Low carbon. Smaller scale. Our client, Cody Fischer, President of Footprint Development, recently appeared on NPR’s Planet Money discussing the sustainable housing development Solstice Northeast, where MBJ served as the Structural Engineer of Record. Minneapolis 2040, a groundbreaking initiative designed to alleviate the city’s housing shortage, is explored through the story of two apartment buildings in Minneapolis—both projects for which MBJ was the structural engineer. MBJ partnered in Cody’s sustainable vision by requiring ultra low carbon cement mix designs and minimizing cement volume. Find out more about the journey to build Solstice Northeast at the link here!
