OUR SOLUTIONS

The River Hub’s structural system features sustainable mass timber materials, including glulam beams, trusses, and columns, as well as dimension lumber and wood roof trusses. Designed as a net zero energy structure, it integrates rooftop solar panels and a geothermal energy system to minimize its environmental impact.

MBJ collaborated closely with project stakeholders throughout an iterative design process to align the structural systems with both sustainability goals and budget limitations. By strategically substituting select glulam framing with more conventional wood framing, the team was able to meet performance, aesthetic, and cost targets. Blending thoughtful design, sustainability, and community-focused programming, The River Hub at Graco Park offers an inviting and environmentally conscious destination for visitors of all ages.
